Bookish (and Not So Bookish) Thoughts (2)

1.) I am officially in love with Susanna Kearsley's books.  I don't know why it took me so long to read them because they are amazing!

2.) The tiny dictator that lives at my house (aka Julia) has not been wanting to go to bed lately.  Once she falls asleep, there's no problem but it's been taking her well over an hour to go to sleep.  The minute she gets in bed, she decides it's time to play.

3.) I'm really behind on writing reviews and other blog posts.  I don't why I constantly do this to myself.  It's hard for me to find the time to work on the blog but I really shouldn't let things pile up so much.

4.) My birthday is today.  I'm now 31 and I just don't know if I'm okay with officially being in my 30s.

5.) I need a serious attitude adjustment.  Normally, I can play nice and get along with everyone but I'm struggling lately.

6.) The book I'm reading right now is told in the third person POV.  I'm so not liking it. 

7.) We are going to baptism prep class next week so we can get Julia baptized and I'm pretty excited about it!

    Happy birthday!

    Re no. 3 - a couple of weeks ago I saw another blog do a whole bunch of '70-word-reviews' - a good way to catch up and probably fun to write. Maybe that approach would ease your burden and get up to date?!

Mailbox Monday (49)

It's time for another Mailbox Monday post!  Once again I could not resist the cheap ebooks that Amazon and Barnes and Noble were promoting this week.  I really need to stop!  I already have more than I can read.  I also was able to spend a little time browsing at the library and I came home with a nice stack of books.  These days, I hardly ever get to spend time at the library by myself for more than a minute or two so it was wonderful to have time to just wander and see what I could find. Mailbox Monday (78)

 Happy Sunday everybody!  September is over and I can hardly believe it.  It seems as though the month has flown by.  Now I'm excited for fall and all of the upcoming holidays.  October is the start of my favorite time of year and I'm hoping there will be plenty of room for reading in between all of the upcoming events. I requested some new holiday books from the library and had no idea all of my holds would come in at once so I need to get moving on these.  I'm really excited to dig into some sweet, fluffy reads and these will do just the trick.
