So Many Books, So Little Time

Hey y'all, it's that time again!  The first readathon of 2016 is here!  I'm feeling pretty nervous about it right now because I'm not sure how much reading I will actually get done but it's such a fun event that I can't help but participate.  Julia has swimming lessons in the morning and we have lots of errands to run so I'll try to do most of my reading while riding in the car. I don't have a fun stack of physical books to showcase but I have four books on my kindle that I plan to choose from.  I've started The Beast but I'm not really feeling it right now so I'll probably begin the day with something else.  I do have some reading to do for the class I'm taking so even though I won't be reading a book during that time, I will be reading. : ) On my stack: The Virgin's War by Laura Andersen The Beast by J.R. Hey y'all!  It's Read-a-Thon time again!  I'm so excited to participate!  This is my fifth time participating and I'm looking forward to reading and keeping up with everyone else's progress.  I will do most of my updates on Twitter today so if you want to see what I'm up to, follow me at @so_many_books. I have a lot of books on my stack; two are ebooks and three are physical books.  It's easier for me to read ebooks throughout the day because I can read them on my phone.  My daughter starts toddler soccer this morning but otherwise, I'm going to really try to get some reading done (hopefully my two year old will cooperate!).  I actually had a much smaller stack picked out originally and ended up adding more because I wanted to keep my options open. It's read-a-thon day!!  I am going to try to get some reading done today but I know I won't get anywhere near the 24 hour mark.  I will post a few updates here throughout the day but I will mostly be on twitter.  You can follow me throughout the day at @so_many_books. I finally broke down and signed up for the Read-a-thon!  I have had so much fun participating in the past and this post convinced me I should give it a shot again.  I haven't participated since last April and I've had a baby since then so I'm not sure how this is going to go.  I'm going to try to get as much reading done as I can between chasing Julia and all the other commitments I have. I'm hoping to make a dent in the following books: The Runaway Highlander by R.L. Syme The King by J.R. Ward Also, my hold on Catching Fire (the movie) came in a the library so I will finally get to watch it tomorrow!  It's book related so it counts, right? It's that time again!  I am thrilled to be participating in Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon again!!  I had big plans for the day but my to-do list has continued to grow so I am going to have to figure out a balance between work and reading.  I am definitely not going to staying up all 24 hours (I'm pregnant and tired, yo!) but I will be trying to sneak in some extra reading throughout the day.  Hopefully I can get through at least one book if not more. Today is Dewey's 24 hour Read-A-Thon !!  It's my first time and it's a little bittersweet.  I thought I wouldn't be able to participate because I was supposed to run a 1/2 marathon today.  Due to my knee injury, I won't be able to run but I will be able to spend the day reading.  YAY!  I am definitely not going to be super hardcore and read the entire 24 hours but I am hoping to get more reading in then usual. We'll see.  I planned to get a ton of stuff done last night and it just didn't happen so I will have to take some breaks to clean and do laundry and go to a family dinner.
