Mailbox Monday (35)

It's that time of the week again!  I'm linking up with Mailbox Monday, check it out here!

I hope everyone in the states had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We had a nice time on Thursday and then put up all of our Christmas decorations yesterday.  We are ready for December!

I had Wednesday off and Julia was at daycare so I could run a bunch of errands and bake pies.  I stopped in at the library because I haven't had a chance to browse by myself since it re-opened.  There were parts of the library that I didn't even remember being there because I only ever get to go to the children's section!  I went a little overboard because everything looked so good.

    I wound definitely read City of Heavenly Fire first. Although I may be a bit biased since it's the only one of these I've actually read. But even so, for all the complaints I have about Clare's books, everything comes together pretty beautifully in this one.

    You are way ahead of me with the Christmas decorating! I need to do that soon. You picked up some awesome books at the library. Silver Shadows is amazing- I can't wait to hear what you think of it. I've heard good things about The Secret Place too. Enjoy!

Mailbox Monday (49)

It's time for another Mailbox Monday post!  Once again I could not resist the cheap ebooks that Amazon and Barnes and Noble were promoting this week.  I really need to stop!  I already have more than I can read.  I also was able to spend a little time browsing at the library and I came home with a nice stack of books.  These days, I hardly ever get to spend time at the library by myself for more than a minute or two so it was wonderful to have time to just wander and see what I could find. Mailbox Monday (78)

 Happy Sunday everybody!  September is over and I can hardly believe it.  It seems as though the month has flown by.  Now I'm excited for fall and all of the upcoming holidays.  October is the start of my favorite time of year and I'm hoping there will be plenty of room for reading in between all of the upcoming events. I requested some new holiday books from the library and had no idea all of my holds would come in at once so I need to get moving on these.  I'm really excited to dig into some sweet, fluffy reads and these will do just the trick. From the Library: A Snow Country Christmas by Linda Lael Miller This is the fourth book in a series that I really enjoyed so I'm eager to get started on it.
