It's time for another Mailbox Monday post!
Once again I could not resist the cheap ebooks that Amazon and Barnes and Noble were promoting this week. I really need to stop! I already have more than I can read. I also was able to spend a little time browsing at the library and I came home with a nice stack of books. These days, I hardly ever get to spend time at the library by myself for more than a minute or two so it was wonderful to have time to just wander and see what I could find.

Here's my weekly wrap up
Michelle @ Book Briefs
I haven't read any of Daniel Silva's books but I've heard they're quite good. I hope you enjoy The Messenger (and the rest of your new books)!
ReplyDeleteMy husband has read the whole Gabriel Allon series by Daniel Silva that has been written so far. He loves these books and said to me today that he thinks they get better and better!
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of the series. The books are so good (and I'm not normally into spy books)! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteSo many of these sound good -enjoy Denise.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you got some great books this week. It makes me happy when I get good deals on books. I will look forward to your reviews.
ReplyDeleteOoh, great stack! I am curious about The Color of Secrets and The One I Was. Enjoy! Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteWow! you have amassed quite a haul this week and a very eclectic mix of storylines and genres.
I haven't actually read any Daniel Silva, although I do have a couple of his paperbacks on my shelves, which my father has read and recommended. As 'The Messenger' is book number 6 in the Gabriel Allon series and you are obviously an avid follower, I am wondering if the stories can be read as stand alones, or do I really need to start the series back at the beginning?
My favourite from your selection today, would have to be 'The Color Of Secrets', which sounds Oh! so good. The title and cover art are also very alluring.
Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week :)
Yvonne
DeleteHi Yvonne!
I would definitely say that they could be read as stand alones. I actually found the series when I read the 9th book not realizing that it was part of a larger series and I didn't have any trouble understanding what was happening. I read books 9 and 10 and then I decided to go back and start from the beginning.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteYour books look really good. Can't pick a favorite one. Glad you had time to spend at the library.
ReplyDeleteOh my! They are all good books! I don't know how you will choose to read first! I need to come here all the time. This is my first week on the meme! Let me know which one you read first. I would personally go for Stalin since that is more in my genre but I love all the books you got!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you got some great books. Happy reading
ReplyDeleteThey all look good, but I like THE COLOR OF SECRETS.
ReplyDeleteENJOY!!
