Synopsis: Set during the separation of Norway from Sweden in 1905, this richly detailed novel of love and loss was inspired by the life of the author's great-great-aunts. Oleanna and her sister Elisabeth are the last of their family working their farm deep in the western fjordland. I have yet to read anything by Susanna Kearsley, but her books look so tempting! Enjoy your week...and here's MY WEEKLY SUNDAY/MONDAY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteHi Denise,
ReplyDeleteGiven the amount of titles which pass through the NetGalley system each week, I think that two is showing great restraint, unless of course, there are others hidden away somewhere that you aren't telling us about! LOL
I have had Susanna Kearsley on my list of author to try, for absolutely ages now and I really do hope to get there very soon, as 'The Splendour Falls' sounds like another great book.
I don't read an awful lot of historical fiction, however, when I do, it has to be something which is going to hold my attention and have plenty of substance to the storyline.
Thanks for sharing, enjoy your books and have a good week.
Yvonne
