It's been a weird week as my husband went from working graveyard shifts
to day shifts this week. He has worked graveyard shift for over a year
so it's been a bigger adjustment than expected. Now we're all just
trying to get into a new routine.
I went a little library crazy this week with my mailbox! I already have a bunch of library books I need to read but I stopped by to pick up a DVD for my daughter and couldn't resist picking up a few books too.
From the Library (ebooks):
This book has been kind of slow to start but I'm definitely intrigued enough to keep going
From the Library:
I really need a good thriller in my life these days. Both of these have been on my TBR list for a while so I couldn't help myself when I saw them available at the library.
For Work:
I work in higher education and a lot of my students are veterans or even active duty military. My brother is also an Iraq war veteran and active duty Army so this really hits home for me. When I found this book on Amazon I knew I had to read it and my office was kind enough to buy it for me. I'm reading it now and it is excellent! I think it's a good read for anyone whether or not you work in education; it just may help people better understand what veterans went through and are going through as they transition to military life.
Have a great week everyone!
I love a good thriller. I hope those you checked out are great!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed The Widow and Don't You Cry....hope you do, too. Thanks for sharing, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteI imagine that will be a big adjustment for your husband. I remember when my father did that. It took about a month or so before he was adjusted.
