Top Ten Beach Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week's topic: Top Ten Beach Reads

I love to read super fluffy books at the beach so that's pretty much what this list will be comprised of!


1.) The Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward-I wouldn't mind spending a beach day with Vishous and the other brothers.

2.) Anything by Nora Roberts-I don't read her books very often but they would definitely be something I throw in my beach bag.

3.) The Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead-I wouldn't call this series fluffy but it is definitely one that would keep me glued to my beach chair.

4.) The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich-Hilarious fluffy fun!  My only concern would be that these books would make me laugh out loud and people would look at me weird.

5.) Anything by Jen Lancaster-Sea, sand and snark...count me in!

6.) The Millenium series by Stieg Larsson-I know that not everyone loves these books but they completely sucked me in.  They would have been great books to take to the beach!

7.) The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning-Beach and Barrons?  Yes, please!

    Ever since I saw the Stephanie Plum movie, I've been wanting to read the books! I feel like you're right and they'd qualify as great beach reads.

    Vampire Academy and The Fever series - Yes! Great choices. I haven't read all of the Fever series but have loved what I have read!

    For so many years, there was a new Stephanie Plum book out every summer! Perfect timing, I think.

Mailbox Monday (49)

It's time for another Mailbox Monday post!  Once again I could not resist the cheap ebooks that Amazon and Barnes and Noble were promoting this week.  I really need to stop!  I already have more than I can read.  I also was able to spend a little time browsing at the library and I came home with a nice stack of books.  These days, I hardly ever get to spend time at the library by myself for more than a minute or two so it was wonderful to have time to just wander and see what I could find. Mailbox Monday (78)

 Happy Sunday everybody!  September is over and I can hardly believe it.  It seems as though the month has flown by.  Now I'm excited for fall and all of the upcoming holidays.  October is the start of my favorite time of year and I'm hoping there will be plenty of room for reading in between all of the upcoming events. I requested some new holiday books from the library and had no idea all of my holds would come in at once so I need to get moving on these.  I'm really excited to dig into some sweet, fluffy reads and these will do just the trick. From the Library: A Snow Country Christmas by Linda Lael Miller This is the fourth book in a series that I really enjoyed so I'm eager to get started on it.
